I started taking photos when I was quite young (I think I was 4 the first time my dad put a camera in my hands) and for as long as I can remember, I've used photography as a medium to remember how a moment felt, not just how it looked.

That mindset has naturally translated into my approach as a family and lifestyle photographer; I'll give you a little direction to get things started, but I want the rest to feel easy and natural. Rather than focusing on perfect poses, I'd much rather capture the way you actually interact with each other: the closeness of a growing family, the tenderness of a new baby in the mix, the way your kids climb into your lap or reach for you. The fleeting moments that make this particular chapter of your life yours are what matter to me.

A few things about me:

• I have a bachelor’s degree in interior design (not decorating - think interior architecture!) and those 4 years of education heavily inform the way I approach photography. Light, composition, creativity, technicality, problem solving, the little details - it’s all there.

• I started riding horses when I was 11 and only recently stopped. Some of the best years of my life were spent working at the barn as a teenager and on a ranch in my early 20s.

• I have always been a BIG reader - growing up, my parents encouraged reading at meals (sometimes I think this was just to get me to stop talking). I always have a few books on the go and love to make recommendations if you need some.

• I'm from Vancouver Island and feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in such a beautiful part of the world. However, the East Coast has definitely won me over in many ways since moving here in 2025!
